Abdullah Jaber Al Sabah is the Deputy Director General for Investment and Operations at the Public Institution for Social Security of Kuwait (PIFSS).

Mr. Al Sabah graduated with a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from Brown University, and received his MBA in Finance from Columbia University.

Ahmad Al Wuqayan is a Corporate Manager, he is also the first Kuwaiti to join the company and complete Az Zour North IWPP. As a spokesperson & head of the Kuwaitization project within the company, he worked as a Corporate Portfolio Manager (Certified Credit Manager) at one of the leading banks in the region. He studied MIS at the University of Colorado in Denver.

David Barlow is the General Manager of the Abu Dhabi branch of Summit Global Power (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation), which is responsible for development and asset management of IPPs and IWPPs across Middle East, Africa, Europe, CIS and near Asia. He has over 20 years of managerial experience in the development of worldwide power and water projects. He is also currently a Board Director of four other IPPs/IWPPs in the Middle East & Africa, representing the interests of Sumitomo.

Eric MAKA is working at ENGIE as Head of Construction for Middle East South & Central Asia and Turkey since 2016. He is also a board director of the Az Zour North IWPP in Kuwait, Tihama Cogeneration IPP in Saudi Arabia, Fadhili Cogeneration IPP in Saudi Arabia, Barka IWP. Prior to that he was SVP Asset Management (Construction) in 2011. He started his career with Tractebel Engineering supervising construction projects during 16 years. He has a BSc degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Brussels University.

Mr. Frain joined the Board in November 2017.He also holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr Frain has over 25 years’ experience in the power generation and water production industry. He has a background in design, project management, business development and operations. He has worked for consultants, EPC contractors and equipment manufacturers throughout Europe the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining the Company, he was the Plant General Manager for the Az-Zour North Operations and Maintenance Company. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Engineering Systems from Manchester Metropolitan University and has a Master of Science degree in Energy from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh.

Chris began his career with KPMG in Sheffield. Over the next 12 years, he worked in London, Christchurch in New Zealand and finally as a senior manager in Lisbon in Portugal.

In 1993, Chris left KPMG to join a recently privatised power project. Since then he has worked in power/water projects and related industries such as LNG in Zambia, UK, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and, now, Kuwait.
